Lighting in a Music Video

one thing i've been thinking about a lot for the video is lighting. i want to experiment with different coloured lights, strobe lights, candles, sparklers, star projectors and fairy lights. 

filling a dark room with coloured light from a mood lamp would look really interesting and you could also use it to express certain moods in parallel with the song.

instead of buying expensive coloured lights, you could use transparent coloured plastic as a makeshift camera filter
